Brittany and Erik met at Nick's parents' house at a NYE party in 2010. Erik remembers the moment Brittany walked over to him, sat on his arm and asked him, "Why aren't you drinking?" Brittany does not.

B&E would cross paths once or twice a year at a mutual friend's party and/or at Nick's cottage in Glennie. Erik would follow up on Facebook, trying to start a conversation. Brittany would respond but the conversations never took off. Erik continued to daydream about Brittany.

Brittany and Nick were hanging out one night. Erik called Nick to hangout with him and another friend. The two groups decided to meet at Time Out to have a couple of drinks. Out of the blue, Brittany finally realized Erik was attractive. Erik picked up on this and decided to shoot his shot...again. They talked over Instagram until Brittany had enough and put her number in Erik's phone.

December 5, 2020 B&E begin dating in the middle of a pandemic. It goes well.

B&E are celebrating their 2nd anniversary. Brittany thinks the plan is to recreate their first date. Erik's plan is to propose.

After their date, Erik drives back to his (Adam's) house. Scott and Taylor (his brother and sister-in-law) are hiding in the backyard with cameras. Taylor is in a ghillie suit! Erik walks Brittany to the backyard, stops in front of the fireplace and proposes. Because she said yes, Scott and Taylor pop out and congratulate them with champagne!
